PVUs for workstation using Intel Core 2 Duo?

IBM has some guides (and calculator) to specify PVUs, but it just says about CPU for server (Intel Xeon, Sun Sparc,...) How about PVU for other workstation CPU (Intel Core 2 Duo, Intel Quad-Core,...)? Is it 100 PVUs or 50 PVUs/core?

Workstations, thankfully, do not follow the PVU license system. One workstations equals one license.

The answer to your question: The 10 PVU count license is for Servers not workstations.

You need to purchase 100 'IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Extended Edition Client Device License + SW Subscription & Support 12 Months' for your workstations (Core 2 Duo, Quad core, 486... does not matter).

if you are going to use that license with your workstation, IBM will not complain - you can backup only one workstation. But this is license that is itended to be used on servers, not workstations. And if you ask IBM sales "what do you consider as server?" they will probably tell you that it is any machine that share resources.
However, there are much cheaper licenses that you can buy for workstations
