Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if its possible to know the progress of backup storage pool in other way round than what the "query process" shows, i.e. I want to see how many files and bytes of data is remaining for backup and not how much has completed.

Thanks in Advance.

Good question - but I don't think that the backups take any stats to be able to base this off of. My understanding is that the server just checks files as it goes to see if they have changed - based on what it already has backed up...

Maybe someone else knows if the server keeps tabs on sizing - like sizing things up before they back up? And not just when it gets to the file - maybe beforehand - like does it scan the whole node?

(Am I on the right track of what you are asking???)

Interesting one - I too have not noticed and I am not aware of any special monitoring of this active process. But I will take this question to work tomorrow and validate against my FARM.
