Hey,

Got a DR next week. Been playing with TSM a few weeks now and getting to grips with it slowly.

Can somebody point me towards some clear docs to read for good dr planning. I think our DR manager is a little messed up. I was hoping it would point me towards the tape our last db backup was on but it doesnt, so i think that needs a good look at. If any of the post on here are worth a read regarding this please let me know.

gonna have fun at my DR im sure.

Cheers

Brad

Stam,

Check out the documentation on the "PREPARE" command. Also realize that the TSM DR Recovery documentation in the admin guide assumes that you want to fully recover the TSM server before any of the clients. Once you have recovered the DB and marked your copy pool tapes as available, you can commence recovering your clients - you don't need to waste time recovering disk pools unless you see a clear advantage to it.

Cheers,

Neil
