I am seeing a lot of old backup volumes and I am not sure how to remove these. Does TSM have an operation to delete these on a scheduled basis or is it a manual cleanup? See example below from 2007.

There is a command called delete volhist.

You can run the command manually or set up an admin schedule to run the command daily.

delete volhist t=dbb todate=today-21 <= Dbbackup that are older than 21 days will be deleted.

You can delete all the database backup except for the most recent backup.

Here is the link to the reference guide with more info about the delete volhist command.
