Old AIX Clients

Hello, is there a table anywhere showing compatability of all
AIX->TSM Client->TSM Server compatability?

I have AIX clients at OS 421 that we need to migrate to TSM server 5.3 and need to be absolutely certain if I'm going to tell the customer if they must upgrade the OS.

I have an AIX 4.3 client running TSM client 5.1.7 and my TSM server is 5.3.4
Have no problems backing up anything.

I do not know of any compatibility table anywhere.

Probably that is what you are looking for, only you need it at lower versions.
I'll poke around and see if I can find an older one.

AIX 4.3.3 was removed from IBM support in 2001.(and 4.2.1 long before that) Finding a support matrix that says anything about a TSM client higher than 5.1 will be near impossible as it didn't exist.

If at all possible, I would suggest an upgrade of AIX to a newer (supported) version.

Thanks very much for these replies. I'll be installing 5.1.7 on my 4.3.3s and the 4.2.1s are being replaced. This forum is an invaluable resource. Thanks again.
