Offsite Error

hi
have a few tapes that have come out of the library and TSM is flagging them as unavailable. I would like to set the status to offsite but get the following error
any ideas please

tsm: TAG_TSM1>upd vol h00557l3 access=offsite
ANR2117E UPDATE VOLUME: Access mode for volume H00557L3 cannot be changed to "offsite" - volume either does not belong to a copy storage pool or
from a device class of DEVTYPE=SERVER.
ANR2212I UPDATE VOLUME: No volumes updated.

Looks like the volume in question is a member of a primary pool - you can't set "offsite" for primary pool volumes, nor should you be sending them offsite. You can use the overflow location parameter in the storage pool definition to manage primary tapes outside of the library. See this document for how it all works...

Are you certain that these tapes does not belong to the online tape pool?
