new LTO8 tapes underutilised

Hi, we have just installed a new TS4500 with 2 x LTO8 drives and media.
We've just noticed its marking tapes full well below their capacity:
EG: 015770M8 GPFS_LTO LTO 121.7 G 100.0 Full
015771M8 GPFS_LTO LTO 149.6 G 100.0 Full
015772M8 GPFS_LTO LTO 156.9 G 100.0 Full

DEVCLASS
Device Class Name: LTO
Device Access Strategy: Sequential
Storage Pool Count: 1
Device Type: LTO
Format: ULTRIUM8C

STGPOOL:
Storage Pool Name: GPFS_LTO
Storage Pool Type: Primary
Device Class Name: LTO

OS is Linuc RHEL 7.7. "Lin_tape" was updated.

So far no joy from IBM. If anyone has any adviced greatly appreciated.
