Long story but our exchange just "died".

While the hardware guys are putting together a new server I would like to stage the last exchange backup from tape to the diskpool.

How do I go about doing that?



I looked over the 'move nodedata' command but that looks like it would throw all the exchange backups onto the diskpool. I have a nice sized diskpool but it won't hold two weeks of exchange backups.



How can I send the last exchange backup to the diskpool??

Hi,



unfortunately, there is possibility to move only active [node] data within TSM server. But if you would like to prepare for a fast restore, it's better to move nodedata within the stgpool the data is located. It will just move all the data (of that particular node), but you will have the data collocated. Moreover, a restore from tapes (if collocated) should be faster than from a disk. You can use more restore sessions (with no-query restore).
