Monthly Archive Schedule

Hi,



Please be gentle...New to TSM.



I have a monthly archive schedule with 15 NT nodes associated with it but when i



q actlog



i receive the following message duplicated for each node



ANR0484W Session 26115 for node USAPPS1 (WinNT) terminated

- protocol violation detected.



Event status for schedule is FAILED.



Any ideas??

Can you post the exact definition of your archive schedule ?

Hi,

I did had the same issue. The only way of getting ride of this was to declear what to archive under the objects: on the schedule. On your sample something like:



chedule Name: NT_WEEKLY_ARCHIVE



Description: Monthly archive schedule for NT domain



Action: Archive



Options:



Objects: \temp\



Priority: 1



Start Date/Time: 03/23/03 01:00:00



Duration: 10 Hour(s)



Period: 1 Month(s)



Day of Week: Sunday



Expiration:



Like this it would start scanning any local drive for the temp folder and archive all files in that folder.

if i put just \ in the objects field would that archive from the root folder down?

If we talk about the files in that root folder then I guess yes (but I havent tried this out). But if you want subdirs then you need to change to "\ -subdir=yes"
