Losing permissions for tsm directory on Windows 2k client version 5.2.2

I have a strange problem. I installed the TSM client version 5.2.2 on five Win2k servers with SP3 into the default installation directory c:\program files\tivoli\tsm. Following each scheduled backup the permissions to the tsm directory are losing their inheritance from the parent directory. In addition, if I leave the "allow inheritable permissions" checkbox unchecked and grant separate permissions to this directory they are lost as well following each scheduled backup. Has anyone had this problem and been able to resolve it?
