We are attempting a limited DR test at our DR location using just the Database Tape and the DRM tapes for restoring storage pools as shown in the RECOVERY.VOLUMES.REQUIRED file created in the DRM process.

We are not restoring storage pools during this test. We are following the DRM script process and modifing associated files as required for destroyed volumes and volumes not returned from offsite. Everything works up to restoring a single file to a virtual node. Receive the message "DATA NOT AVAILABLE TO SERVER" Not sure if we missed a step to make the DRM tapes available or if we are just wrong in our process. Suggestions please.

You need to look and see what tape is being requested. If it's an on-site tape then the setting of the tapes to destroyed did not work. If the tape requested is one of the offsite (DRM) tapes then look to see if the tape is listed as read/write. The other issue I have seen is when the DB is newer than the series that is offsite and does not reflect any reclamation or new tapes that the DB in use expects offsite (the same occurs when the DB is too old). Check the actlog an identify the tapes being requested and then it should take you down the road to what is needed.
