Hi Guys,

I am facing a problem with the LanFree configuration.
I am not able to run the LanFree.
I should probably make a mistake in the configuration of the ports dedicated to the LanFree (I

Simple question. Can this server ping itself on the LANFreeTCPServerAddress? Try using 127.0.0.1 if your storage agent is on this same system.

Did you run a VALIDATE LANFREE on your TSM server and that all checkout fine? Did you set the DATAREADPATH and DATAWRITEPATH on the node definition on the TSM server?

Paste your Q SERVER <storage agent> for us.

Hi Greg

See following information:

LLA on your STA server definition should be 1500 instead of 1502.

Greg,

I made some updates in my setup and I managed to get ...

ANR1706I Ping for server 'IACCPORAD0001_STA' was able to establish a connection.
ANR0388I Node IACCPORAD0001_OA51_DB using storage agent IACCPORAD0001_STA has 1 storage pools capable of LAN-free data movement and 0 storage pools not capable of LAN-free data movement.

In the TDPOerror.log I continue to have the following message:
2/09/2010 13:45:23 Error -53 opening session
02/09/2010 13:45:23 cuSignOnResp: Error -72 reading SignOn response from server.
02/09/2010 13:45:23 sessOpen: Error -72 receiving IdentifyResp verb from server
02/09/2010 13:45:23 ANS9201W LAN-free path failed.

The backup is running by the network and not by the LanFree.

I haven't set the DATAREADPATH and DATAWRITEPATH on the node definition on the TSM Server (value is : Any)

DATAREADPATH and DATAWRITEPATH are ok as ANY.

Have you defined paths on the TSM server? Just as you have paths defined to drives so TSM server can use them, you need to define paths to the drives so storage agent can use them. Define paths with source of 'IACCPORAD0001_STA' and destination as your drives. The device will be whatever the storage agent machine sees. Storage agent is going to contact TSM server, TSM server is going to allocate a drive to the storage agent.

This is handy to use when you want to see which server (TSM server or storage agents) are using your drives when you are backing up or restoring.

The primary pool is a tape pool.
If I start the backup of my DB Oracle by a script of Rman, the backup starts and ends with success.
