hello world, just one little question.

I don't understand the path definition on TSM server for STA.
I have TSM server 5.5.3 Windows 2003 with two drives in library and i want to connect STA Linux 5.5.5, I seen on STA guide for Linux, the device name could be different.

STA Linux tape name : /dev/IBMtape0 and /dev/IBMtape1
TSM SRV Windows tape name : mt0.0.0.2 and mt1.0.0.2

what is the path definition device name on TSM server for STA linux /dev/IBMtape0 or mt0.0.0.2?

Hi,

if STA sees it as /dev/IBMtape0, then you have to define the path ON THE TSM SERVER using
define path STA drive srct=server destt=drive libr=xyz device=/dev/IBMtape0
