We have 2 TSM servers that run independantly of each other, one in our live datacentre and ont in the DR one. Each night both TSM servers run incremental backups of all the live servers, one starting at 10 PM and one at 2 AM. Two of the TSM clients (NT servers) have over 2 million files with about 5 % changing daily and are starting to overlap into the working day. I have tested the TSM Journal service and this gives a hige performance increase, but it only seems to respond to one TSM server. From what I have read in this list and the readme files, the journal service keeps a log of file changes and which TSM sever has backed up these changed files. Is it possible to configure it to keep track of both TSM servers ? I have tried but failed to install a second journal service, like we have with2 schedule services running on each client each registered to a different TSM server, but this does not seem to be an option.
