Is TDP for Exchange V5.5 ok with .NET 3.5?

Hello group,

I know the latest TDP for Exchange V5.5.1 requires .NET 2.0 or higher, but our Exchange team would rather install the latest .NET (3.5?) and has heard stories that .NET is not always 100% forwards compatible.

Is anyone out there successfully running TDP for Exchange V5.5+ backing up Exchange 2003 SP2 (x86) and .NET 3.5 or 3.0?
