Incremental backup of VMWare guest OS fails using TSM BA Client 6.2.3 with VSTOR. dsmerror.log says the following two lines.

07/20/2011 10:49:23 ANS2888E Backup VM Full VM Incremental is unable to run.
A valid TSM for Virtual Environments license file (tdp4vmw.lic) could not be located.

Full backup of VM Ware guest is going fine. Only the incremental fails. BA Client setup files contains no license files.

The incremental backup function is licensed as part of TSM for Virtual Environments. You will need to install TSM for VE on your backup server to get the license file. Otherwise, the TSM B/A client is limited to full backups.

There is a BA install kit inside the VE installation package. Install that one and the this error will disappear.

'VE installation package' ? Will this come along the TSM BA Client 6.2.3 x32 Setup files? or can be downloaded from IBM ftp site?

It is called: "IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for Virtual Environments Version 6.2 Windows Multilingual (CZWL6ML)". You can download it from ibm.com if you have IBM ID.
