I am working with a customer implementing their VTL. The IBM rep onsite told us that since this is a dual head VTL, that each VTL has it's own library and drives. The IBM recommended to split the TSM clients between the two controllers to utilize the bandwidth and storage of them. This creates the following issue:
1) New policy domains, storage pools, and administrative process need to be created as there will need to be 2 different libraries created in TSM. This complicates the environment and may extend the the administrative process cycle.
Has anyone been through this and tell me how they may have done this more efficiently?
