Hi all ---
I am responsible for setting up a brand new 3494-L22 with 4 x 3592 J1A FC tape drives.
I have limited experience with the 3494 and have never set one up... Eventually, this library will be partitioned for two TSM instances but that will be phase II; one running the 3592 tape drives and the second running the older 3590 SCSI tape drives in a D-12 frame...
Please - if you have a good guide for the initial setup steps I would greatly appreciate it. After the IBM SSR leaves I will be responsible for the rest. High - Level step-by-step on the library itself would be great and any "gotchas" to watch out for. Any specific 3494 related TSM setup would also be appreciated. Hopefully others will benefit from this topic as well as I am sure I am not the only one faced with this situation.
