Hi,

you do not have any tapes in your libary (from "q libvol" output)
You need to check in tapes - if they are new, not labeled, then you need to label them.
see help for "checkin libvol" and "label libvol" commands
It can look like:
label libvol LB5.1.0.3 search=yes labels=barcode checkin=scratch

another thing is you need to update your device class LTOCLASS2 to use newly defined library

upd devc ltoclass2 libr=lb5.1.0.3

Hi,

I have installed IBMtape in sunsolaris(sparc) but not able to see drives with 'tapelist' command.
Can somebody please help....

HBA - Emulex LP11002
Solaris 10 (sparc sun4u)
IBMtape 4.1.9

Why luxadm showing it as NOT CONNECTED... please help

With luxadm -e port
