We just did a serious revamp on a server and for sensitive reasons, and we want all of the data that is no longer on the server, purged from TSM.
My first thought is that I can just rename the node, and create a new node with the original node name. Then the next time the schedule runs, a fresh filespace will be created and a initial full backup will be performed. Then after everything looks good, I can go ahead and delete the old data's filespace and node.
Any thoughts on this? Will it work as I have it listed, and is there a better way of purging data that is inactive? I am still pretty new to this and without a mentor, so I'm learning my 'best practices' from reading these boards.
Thank you for your time.
