Can you elaborate? What do you mean by files/information not in TSM database?

The TSM Database stores everything except the actual data it self. That is, all meta data, and location information about where the data is located.

Not sure if that is what you where lookig for....

Almost everything. http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infoc...ic/com.ibm.itsmcw.doc/anrwgd55751.htm#bkupfst details that

"To restore your database, you must have copies of (or be able to create) the following information:

* Volume history file
* Device configuration file
* Server options file
* Database and recovery log set up (the output from detailed queries of your database and recovery log volumes)."

So you need those three files (volhist, devconfig, optfile) in addition to the database backup to recover your server.
