I have a 3 node (exch01, exch02 & exch03) Microsoft Exchange Cluster of which, 2 of the nodes are active and one is passive. The Cluster names for the servers are mail01 & mail02.
Yesterday, we installed Fastback 6.1 to its own server and installed the Fastback CLient to each of the Exchange nodes. Once the client was installed, we set the "SAN" option to YES, which I believe is the required setting when in a Cluster environment.
The Clients register themselves with the Fastback server and I am able to see the Exchange resources on the 2 nodes that have them from within the Fastback GUI (pic1 attached) and the backup works correctly.
My issue arises when I fail the cluster over. When I now go back into the Fastback job that I created earlier all the settings are unchecked and I have no idea what is being backed up ! Even stranger is if I set the job off - it WORKS!
Can anyone explain why the settings within the Fastback job disappear when the cluster is failed over ??
