External Storage recommendation

Hi,

I wish to put in more Storage Space due to requirement to backup more applications files and systems files which are coming in.

I need advise from TSM gurus to recommend on what external storage devices, type and model I should purchase that will work well with Tivoli Storage Manager version 5.3 (I will be upgrading to TSM 5.5 next year).

Storage are storage to TSM, when it provision and allocated to TSM.
We are running our disk storage in our Hitachi AMS USP connected via fiber director.

I've enjoyed our IBM DS4800's a great deal. They've got a good deal of horsepower for the money.

The aforementioned HDS' unit is supposed to be pretty nice as well.

How much storage space and speed do you need?

Ever tried Nexsan Technologies SATABoy or SATABeast? Really reliable and pretty cheap.

Hi.
We run our TSM server on a DS4700 from IBM. Great little box. I'd recommend it anyday.
