Expired Offsite Tapes Not Going to Vaultretrieve Status

Hello, Everyone.



Just started administering an already setup TSM server for my company, and I've noticed that tapes are not being called back from offsite. When tapes naturally expire, they don't go change from vault to vaultretrieve status, they just "go away." The volser doesn't come up in q drm. When searching the actlog for a tape that should come back, the last information on that tape is when its status is switched to vault so that it can go onsite.



Interestingly, reclaims on offsite tapes will change them to vaultretrieve status.



Any ideas?

Is there a del volhist command running? If you are using DRM you should not be running a del volhist as DRM uses the volhist to work with offsite tapes.
