Hi,

in the trace I can see:
Code:
10/30/2010 23:18:49.686 [005992] [3596] : agtpref.cpp ( 481): Getting preference NOTESInipath with a NULL value.
so it seems TDP cannot find the notes.ini

Use:
Code:
domdsmc set NOTESInipath=<new_path_ for_notes.ini_file>

Harry

I fixed it, but the error message is still present:

Probably the wrong domino config cause the problem. I'm reading redbooks but I can'resolve this issu :(

Hi,

it seems there can is more than one problem here - for example:
Code:
Nodename ............................... DOMINOSERVERTDP

however in your dsm.opt (for TDP - what are the paths for all your config files?) you have
Code:
NODename IBMCGSRV05TDP

which do not seem to be honored

Does activity log on the server say anything when running these "domdsmc query ..." commands?

Harry

Sorry, I just rename in the forum. original is correct:

There is nothing in the server activity log.

I created a service for TDP domino and when I start the service I can see the TSM server act log:
ANR0406I Session 276 started for node IBMCGSRV05TDP (WinNT) (Tcp/Ipibmcgsrv05(3198 )).
ANR0403I Session 276 ended for node IBMCGSRV05TDP (WinNT).

Anyway if I click the domdb2c.exe the following message is appear: The application is failed to start because DB2APP.dll was not found. Is it normally?

Hi Jeszi.
Does your domino server use db2 or the native db format? If it is not using db2 then there is no db2app.dll
If you are using db2 then you have to login as the domino user to run the backup (as far as I know)

I'm not the domino admin, but I didn't find db2app.dll on the server so I guess the native db format is in use.

What should be in the notes.ini file?

Right now i just remember that yo uhave to define DB2INSTANCE and DB2DATABASE in the notes.ini so if those entries are not present the you should use
domdsmc sel "admin.nsf" or similar to backup one database.

DB2INSTANCE and DB2DATABASE is not in the notes.ini file.

C:\Program Files\Tivoli\TSM\domino>domdsmc sel "admin.nsf"

Hmm...
2 things:
Is domino 7.0.X supported by 5.5.3.0? (I belive its, but check anyway)
and check tie below link for the ACD0004E error.
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21205786

Registry is correct.
tdp 5.5.2.1 was working, but one time there was a lotus notes crash. Notes admin told me everything is ok for now but the tdp could not connect to the domino server.
I tried everything. Finially I installed the newest TDP and BA client but the connection is still wrong.

I thing something in the domino server is wrong.

How can I check the domino log during I'm trying to connect to the tdp library?
