EMC UNITY backup to TSM !!

Need Help

i want to backup EMC unity infront of TSM via TCPIP (3 way)

def datamover UNTMAHR8 typ=nas hla=10.200.65.28 lla=10000 userid=admin password=xxxxxxx dataformat=ndmpdump
ANR4728E Server connection to file server 10.200.65.28 failed. Please check the attributes of the file server specified during definition of the datamover.
ANR1775I Data mover UNTMAHR8 has been defined, however a connection to the data mover failed. Please check the attributes of the file server specified in the definition of the data mover.

Is EMC Unity NAS or SAN as I am not sure about this?

If it SAN, you cannot do NDMP backups. If NAS, first you have to make sure that the Data Mover can communicate with the TSM server correctly.

Once communication is properly working, configure the Data Mover to EMC Unity route.
