Hi storage admins.

I have a two TSM server setup with one library.

TSM01 is library manager and owns the library og libvols.
TSM02 is library client and contains only a shared library, but no drives or drivepaths.

Is it possible to use the MOVE DRM command on TSM02 ?

Best Regrads,
Simon

Yes, since the library is defined as shared, TSM02 will issue a server-to-server shared checkout request. Setup and use DRM on TSM02 as you would on TSM01.

As long as it's not ACSLS managed. ACSLS cannot currently check utilize the move DRMedia command from library clients. They have a crappy work around so be warned.

With an ACSLS, you can make a "move drmedia ... remove=no" and then a "eject CAP_ID ..." with previous volumes.

Hi Guys

Thanks for you replies. The library is an SCSI library (HP EML)

I'll now continue my setup. Thanks :)
