Hi,

In my Organization we are using a Linux server (RHEL 4) running domino on it.If we run a manual backup it works fine without any issue.

But if we schedule a backup it never starts. While using the tail-f /opt/tivoli/tsm/client/domino/bin/domdsmc_notes/domsched.log

We get the following message after this nothing happens and there is no error message in any log files.

IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for Mail:
Data Protection for Lotus Domino

ACD5221I The /opt/tivoli/tsm/client/domino/bin/domdsmc_notes/dominc.log log file has been pruned successfully.

Starting Domino database backup...
Initializing Domino connection...
Querying Domino for a list of databases, please wait...

hi,
try and run the following commands

domdsmc query adsm -adsmpwd=yourpassword
domdsmc query domino

just to see if you have communication problem between domino and tsm server.

If everything is all right, investigate on the environment variables associated to the scheduled command

hope this helps

we had the same problem and ended up re-installing the tdp for domino and the ba client. we run domino on a windows 2003 box though.

hi,
i seem to have missed your message last 2007/12/20 ... you'd probably would have solved by recreating the password file. Glad you solved anyway.
cheers
