Does TSM 5.5 supports Novell 5 as a client

Hello,

We've got a rather dated pieces of software TSM server v5.5 and some Novell 5 file servers that are now backed up by HPDP. I wonder if we are able to move this clients to TSM domain and get rid of HPDP as a backup software. According to this http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docvi...ts&uid=swg21113570&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8&lang=en TSM can only talk to Novell NetWre 6.5. Perhaps this TSM client for novell supports some sort of backward compatibility this previos Novell version.

Yes it works but not supported by IBM. I used to have Novell 5.2 in my old TSM 5.5 environment but the advanced features are available for Novell 5.2 use.
