Destroyed tape

I have one destroyed Magstar tape.

It is cutted by the drive.

The storage pool have got a copy STGP.



How I can safely remove from TSM ?

Depends on how the environment is setup. If you have a copypool you can restore the volume, but that can be very time consuming. If you are running collocation then the easiest way is to run a full backup on the system that is the owner of the tape. Then the data on the tape will become inactive an expire in X number of days for old versions. Not pretty but works and keeps the data offsite unless it is absolutely required.
