DB volumes and DRM

I do a daily database backup ( ba db dev=xxx t=full ). When I go to retrieve my offsite tapes (once a week) I list the volumes ( q drm * wherest=vaultret ), but ofcourse this doesn't list the db volume....so i end up accumulating db volumes at the offsite storage facility...and have to reconsile every month or so. I suppose I could query the volume history for the tape that was used a week ago for the db...but not sure how I'd every script this for automation...I desparately want to automate drm someday.



Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Use the Web Interface and set DB Backup Series Expiration Days to the number of days back you want to go with the DB Backups.



In 5.2.2 its found under Object View -> Disaster Recovery Manager -> DRM status.
