Data Retention For Clients That Are No Longer Being Backed Up

I'm new to TSM, and I have a customer who has a client that is being turned off and no longer needs to be backed up by TSM.



But, he wants the data for that client to be kept for 6 months. Anyone know how I can do this, or where I can find out what the retention of the client is and change it?



Any additional information on how retention works or other useful information would be appreciated.

As long as you do not run another backup with that node name the active data will remain indefinably. The inactive versions will expire based on the retention settings.

When I have this situation, I schedule an event on my calendar to remind me to delete the node in the future.
