We in the processing of doing some TSM testing with an STK L180 library with 9940B drives. I am finding little information on configuring this library. We will not be using ACSLS in this configuration. How do we define the L180 to TSM?

Not sure how Solaris works, However in our AIX environment we used the TSM device driver and then went into Smitty to define the library. Then used the TSM device driver to define our drives (SCSI LTO2 HP's). Once this was complete and you can then define them in TSM itself through the ADMIN Command line or the Web interface. Just make sure you get the MT numbers that TSM assigns to the drives when you define them through the TSM device driver. It seems like a lot of extra configuration, but that is the only way I have been able to configure in a UNIX box.

Not sure someone else may have a better way.

Hope this helps.
