client error

I keep getting the error



communications have been dropped



in a clients dsmsched log. This has happened out of the blue. Everything seems in order. Anybody any idea?

At first glance this could be network or NIC related...

Have you checked into that?

If this is an NT/Win client, are you using the journal? That may help if it is a big box with lots of small files to check & recheck every backup run.

Maybe the connection is just getting stale...
