can anybody tell me how I get the blocksize for centera? Is it possible to change it or select different blocksizes for different pools?
It's interessting, because we tried to backup our centera with cbrm 2.04 and Networker 7.2 but we've problems with the performance. The most files on the centera have about 10 Byte to 30 kb and while running ndmp-backup we've a throughput of ca 250kb/sec. If we're planning a full-backup, we need 131 days to finish it.
A ndmp-backup of 400000 files (each 31B) from our filer needs 80 sec, but Networker means that he saved 904 MB although a du -sh in the filesystem shows 31 MB. The reason ist the 4k-blocksize on the filer.
Has anybody experieces with backing up Centera with Networker 2.04 and Networker 7.2?
