i want to ask that does TSM CDP continnues data protection supports Linux O/S or tell me other TSM data protection for linux that backup linux system continues when ever the change occcers i want tsm to start backup automatically......

Hi,

CDP does NOT support Linux. There is limited support for Linux in new TSM FastBack 6.1 (by limited I mean specific distro - RHEL and SuSE - and kernel requirements. EXT2/EXT3 and RaiserFS only)

Hi,

1) sorry for misguiding you - CDP in FastBack is not supported in Linux version - yet.
FastBack is a tool for incremental forever BLOCK LEVEL backup of disk partitions/volumes.
CDP is available in Windows version only (at the moment)
Does not recognize applications (does not need to ...)
2) What EXACTLY do you want to achieve? Synchronous replication of MySQL?
