can't open client gui

Hi Guys,

I have an aix tsm server which is also a tsm client and im trying to make the gui work to test restoring files using the client gui. the default http://<tsm server ip>.1581 is not working because 1581 port is being used.

I tried using different port which is available but it's not working either. Can you help me on how to make this work.

check your dsmcad is working on aix (ps -ef |grep dsmcad)
if it's not working just run it on /usr/tivoli/tsm/client/ba/bin
and try to access it via http://ipaddress:1581
java must be enabled...

Also you can check in dsm.sys file following entry,

managedservices schedule webclient

You need to check the suggestion by Vija below. You don't have the webclient enabled.
