hi everybody,

i had an symbolic link who points to a directory. i like to backup the link and all the files the link show trough, only by backing up the link.

this works when i use the commandline command dsmc incr /opt/test/linkname/* the files in the dir where the links points to, will be backed up. when i write this command in the inclexl.def it dosn´t work. tsm made a backup of my link as an objekt and my last backup is getting inaktive.

i tried to do a restore after a commandline backup. when the dir where the links show trough exists, the files while be restored in the correct directory.

when the dir is deleted tsm creates the link as an dir an backed up the files in this directory.

is it possible that tsm crate the old dir struktur and put the files in their home dir.

what can i do ?

i use the lastest tsm client release on a solaris os. the settings in my dsm.opt followsymbolic and subdir are set to yes
