Backup a NT 4.0 Server with client 5.1.6 on a 5.3 Server (Windows)

I am just trying to upgrade our server to 5.3 even if I have tried not to do it for a long time due to the new interface, but now I have to since our new DELL ML6000 Taperobot is not supported in 5.2. In the readme file for 5.3 there are a note that only storage agents 5.2.3 and up are supported by 5.3 but what about agents for NT 4.0 there the latest one is 5.1.6?

We are using the client version 5.1.7 on our old NT4 boxes with TSM server 5.3.2 and it works
