Are there any standard about Backup Service? Which requirements does a Backup Service Provider have to meet (such as TIA-942 for Data Center,...)?

I can not find any information about above questions. If you have any idea, please share me. Or show me where to find them. Thanks for any help!

By backup service, do you mean offsite facilities serving as Data backup sites and not as DR sites?

There are base standards but mostly defined for Security measures, Power redundancy, etc.

As for Data protection and Confidentiality, this is mostly based on agreements.

Hi moon-buddy, I mean "offsite facilities serving as Data backup sites". We setup a system with TSM, VTL, Tape,..... to provide remote backup service to our customer. All things are OK and ready to provide service to end-user.

Agreement is important thing. But if there are industrial standards for remote backup service (about security, network, power,...), we can know whether our service meets those standards. And so, it's easy for us to make customers believe in our service.
