Archive Log Directory issue

Daily Archive Log Directory has been filling within a short period due to which manual db backup has been taken multiple times.Facing dis issue for the past 1 week.TSM server is of V6.1.3.3.
Kindly help me.........

First, you need to upgrade to a more recent maintenance/patch release - 6.1.3.3 is nearly two years old. I think there were some problems in this level that required multiple database backups to clear the archive logs.

Second, is your archive log location adequately sized for the workload being sent to this server between database backups? Here is how IBM suggests that you size your archive log:
