Is anybody out there using LTOG2 drives? If so are you getting the expected performance that IBM says you should (30mb/sec)? We have deployed these drives and the performance is almost identical to our LTOG1 Drives....We had IBM test the drives with TSM out of the picture and the LTOG2 Drive performed the way it expected so it looks like it is TSM causing the bottleneck...I am using TSM 5.1.7 on AIX, Atape Driver 8.3.1.0...Latest Microcode is on the Drives...Maybe I am missing something in the TSM Server/Client Config...Any help would be appreciated....

yeah, I have same situation. Bu I do not star to fine tunning the server, and I have a error on shared memory utilization.
I have an aggregate rate at 5mb/sec, while the network rate is 109mb/sec (fibre).
I will let you know if I can make some progress next week. Please let me know if you find something too
