Hi everybody,

I try to connect from a TSM client towards another client TSM by the GUI.
I have the error message according to: ANS5146W You cannot perform this operation while accessing data for another node.

Anyone can help me ?

This is the right response of the system if the login User ID DOES NOT have access rights to the other node.

You have a easier way to do it via the gui,
go to "File tab" then "choose "Logon"
you got a pop up, choose another node as nodename
of course you should know a account which has access right on the other node.

There's an active session from the other system is connected to the TSM server. Whenever you impersonate one system with another, the GUID and ordinarily the HLAddress gets updated. It can't do that while it's already talking to that node - definition is locked, much as a script's definition is locked as long as the script itself is running.

03/18/08 08:56:57 ANR1639I Attributes changed for node HY1: TCP Name from hy1 to hyx, TCP Address from 172.27.64.96 to 172.27.64.97, GUID from 0c.0f.fe.02.c8.e8.11.db.a7.c6.08.63.ac.1b.40.60 to c7.e9.e7.18.c8.e4.11.db.8c.16.08.63.ac.1b.40.61. (SESSION: 57743)

If it's an unneeded session from the real server, you can kick it off with a "can sess" at the admin client.
