Hello,

I'm having a slight problem with taking my daily backup. I always get this messages from the include section in the configuration file.

I believe your intention is to backup everything under the folder/directory appl. If so, this include statement might be well suited instead.

include.dir "*:\appl\..."

Does include.dir exist on many platforms? Its not in any docco I was looking at, I was checking if it supported specifying a MC, as Ted is binding everything under that directory to the DB_MGMT mgtclass.

Anyway, there shouldn't be anything wrong with what Ted says he's done so there's something funny going on.

Can you paste your entire dsm.opt and the output of "dsmc q inclexcl" on the client? Trying to see if there's anything else, such as in your client optionset.

Ah. Your problem is nothing to do with cloptset, and everything to do with the "objects" in your schedule.

The multiple directories should be separated by spaces not commas.

Also, as an aside, I wouldn't use *.* as a wildcard unless you're specifically only after files that have extensions. Just use *
