ANS1353E Session rejected: Unknown or incorrect ID entered

Hello all,


We have a Windows client that is backing up successfully; However, I am seeing the message below continuously in the dsmerror.log. I did some checking on the Scheduler service and the dsm.opt everything looks in order. Anyone had this issue in the past?

Can you do a manual backup of that client through the GUI or the dsmc command line? Does it ask for a username password when starting the client GUI or dsmc?

You may want to reset the node's password and re authenticate your client to the server. Maybe issue a "dsmc set password" on the command line to reset the password...
 
It appears to be every 10 minutes and 10 seconds....that is an automated process. Check for something trying to run on the client or an intrusion detection program.

I reset the password through TSM Gui and then logged into client and it asked me for a username password. I gave it the password and it said password changed so I will see if the message goes away.
 
Also, if i am not mistaken, take a look at the actlog at around the same time the errors happened. You should see the ID of the user/node trying to log in.
