Hi,

We have problems with our TDP Exchange backups.
Exchange 2007 CCR cluster, windows 2003. TSM TDP 6.1, TSM Server 6.2

The TSM server was upgraded last weekend (5.4 -> 6.2). After that the Exchange TDP backups started to fail.
We upgraded the production env. TDP to 6.1 (5.5 before). We have 6.1 in our test env. and it works fine.

When running a full backup (excfull.cmd), we get the following errors in the log:

After the failed backup, the vss write for Exhange shows;

Last error: Retryable error


We have only upgraded the passive node to 6.1, but it shouldn't matter or?

problem solved

found the problem.

It was the IdleTimeOut at the TSM server that had changed during the upgrade. The default value is 15min, to small for our production exchange backups. Changed it to 300min.
