Hi,

Since 2 weeks I'm having the following error when creating a VCB backup :

ANS1102E An excessive number of command line arguments are passed to the program.

Does anyone knows a solution for this ?

I'm using TSM Client 6.3.0

Thanks in advance

I'm running the command via a schedule from TSM Manager.

This schedule starts a MACRO-file. This is the content of the MACRO-file : backup vm -vmlist=server1

Hi,
I take it that running dsmc backup vm vmlist=server1 works OK?

Can you change your schedule to use act=command instead? Then create a file that contain dsmc backup vm -vmlist=server1

Any changes in the dsm.opt files the past two weeks?

dsmc.exe backup vm -optfile="dsm_vcb.opt" -vmlist=server1 from the command line is working fine, so no problems with the OPT-file.

I will run a test with a COMMAND file.

There was something wrong with the server itself. A restart last weekend solved the problem. Thanks for the help !
