ANS1017E (RC-50) Session rejected: TCP/IP connection failure

Hi,

Since i install that new tdp for sql server, i got this error under the logs file.

TSM Logs
"ANS1017E (RC-50) Session rejected: TCP/IP connection failure"
"ACO5436E A failure occurred on stripe number (0), rc = 418"

Windows Events
- BackupVirtualDeviceFile::RequestDurableMedia: Flush failure on backup device 'TDPSQL-000007BC-0000'. Operating system error 995(error not found).
- SQLVDI: Loc=TriggerAbort. Desc=invoked. ErrorCode=(0). Process=1904. Thread=908. Server. Instance=MSSQLSERVER. VD=Global\TDPSQL-000007BC-0000_SQLVDIMemoryName_0.


That error happen each night on each database of that new server. I got another tdpsql that his working perfectly with the same configuration. I try to telnet with the port 1500 to the tsm server and work fine. Any ideas?

TSM for windows version 6, release 2
TDPSQL is windows 2003 x64 with sql server 2005

Are you streaming to tape directly? If so, stream to disk before writing to tape.

Not supposed to steam directly to tape, only if diskpool was full.

The right way is to have separate disk and tape pools for any TDP backup. Don't mix with other data.

Easy to troubleshoot and easy on DR. I used to mix data but after separating, I can restore in DR/DR test much faster.
