Administrator or refrence guide?

Hey guys.

I dont know if am on the right section!!
I am new to this tsm stuffs and will like to learn it! I have downloaded many documents and dont know where to find specific answers to my questions.
For instance, I know how to backup dbs, do some queries and so on, but things like creating devc class (file type), restoring backups, etc, dont know where to find it!
I do have admin and ref guide, but dont know which one is for what! Can any one help? Thanks in advance!

To learn TSM Server Admin functions, the best book is "Admin Guide". If you want to learn any of the client functionality, you need to read concerned Backup/Archive Client manuals. TSM manuals are online and can be accessed at:

Also if you know how to get into the command line for tsm (dsmadmc command to look after the server, dsmc command to do client operations), the online help is very good. Just type "help". You can do shortcuts into help on dsmadmc by typing, say, "help define" which will list all the different define commands, which will include "define devclass" which will help you.
