Below are the steps I am planning to follow.

1, Install IBM tape driver IBM4.2.1.2.X64.bin

2, reboot the system (Not sure whether its required or not)

3, TSM Stoage agent Software and rest of the configuration (define setstorageserver etc...)

Please help me know if any of the steps I am missing. HBA card is Qlogic

Also let me know if any other information is required

That should work just fine. You should not have to reboot the system. I use Emulex HBA in Solaris 10 and had to reboot due to changes I made to the emulex configuration file because I was setting up OS persistent binding.

Make the proper changes also in your /usr/kernel/drv/IBMtape.conf file. I would read the Storage Agent manual to get a good handle on how this works with the BA Client.

For tape driver setup, this book is invaluable....

Make sure you disable the native Solaris st driver so that it doesn't interfere with IBMtape.

...and also comment all of the entries in /kernel/drv/st.conf.
